About Us
Founded in 1984, the Women’s Professional Council (WPC) was created to promote and support the interests of women professionals in the Greater New Orleans area. Our organization is a 501(c)(6).
For 40 years the organization has been a vehicle for the exchange and dissemination of information and ideas among the members. WPC has promoted professional advancement and involvement in the community through philanthropic giving and support of opportunities for women. The members of WPC have been recognized in the community for their achievements by a variety of different groups and organizations.
Over the years, numerous professions and industries have been represented in WPC. These have included legal, banking, financial advisors, construction, design, hospitality, non-profit, professional & business coaching, maritime, healthcare, accounting, the arts, engineering, and education.
Membership is limited and available by invitation only.
